About www.32bitwonder.org

I've had a life long interest in photography and recently put this gallery together to share and showcase my amateur photographic endeavours. My gear consists of a Canon EOS 50D, Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8, Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS, Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II, a Canon Speedlite 430EX Flash along with a number of light modifiers/reflectors etc.

One of my first cameras was a Kodak Disc 4000. It took mediocre photos but more than made up for it with its cool silver housing and futuristic film cartridge! One of my favourite pictures taken with this camera was of my dog 'Buster', taken when I was about 10 years old. (see right column).

"Although I like to photograph a wide variety of subjects, I particularly like to photograph forgotten places...places once filled with memory. Forgotten places where one can stop and wonder about the people who once busily occupied this space, now abandoned."

The name 32bitwonder.org pays homage to a Winnipeg based BBS named '8bitwonder' which was hosted on an ancient Compaq XT computer during the mid 1990's. It was during its limited run that I discovered an interest in finding new uses for obsolete computer hardware, including their photographic potential.
